Welcome to PokerNews' Day 3 coverage of Event #24: $5,000 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em. The starting field of 541 players is down to just 17 hopefuls, each looking to capture a coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet and the $622,998 first-place prize.
Matt Jarvis is the chip leader with 1,373,000 following a late run on Day 2 that saw him on the right side of aces against kings. Jarvis is no stranger to this event, having won his bracelet in it in 2011. Jeremy Kottler is second with 815,000 and Bryn Kenney rounds out the top three with 612,000. The rest of the field is littered with talent, too, including 2012 WSOP Main Event champion Greg Merson (379,000), Event #20 champion Kory Kilpatrick (216,000), and many more.
Here are the Day 3 seating assignments:
The plan today is to reach a winner or to play 10 levels if a winner does not emerge. Play is set to begin at 1 p.m. so be sure to keep it here at PokerNews to see who captures the bracelet!
