Day 1b of the 2019 PokerNews Cup €1,100 High Roller is in the books here in Finix Casino and 19 more players were added to the field plus two more re-entries. After 10 levels of 45 minutes each, eight players were left to advance to Day 2, while the total number of entries for the High Roller increased to 49 entries.

Bulgaria's Marcel Galustov ended the day as chip leader with 614,500, but he still didn't manage to reach Day 1a's leader as Ivan Ivanov advanced with 631,500. He will have to wait for Day 1c to see if he will get to Day 2 with the overall chip lead.

Galustov won the biggest pot of the day in a three-way all-in situation when he was holding a pair and small flush draw versus an overpair and a higher flush draw of his two opponents, respectively. He managed to turn trips and won the half-million chip pot, ascending to the top of the counts.

Marios Tzakos late registered the event and managed to build a stack of 346,000 chips, putting him in the second place in the Day 1b chip counts.

Galustov didn't want a photo but he sure was happy for his journey during Day 1b.

So far, 20 players have advanced to Day 2 and we are waiting for Tuesday's Day 1c that will determine the total players of the High Roller. Keep in my mind that registration will remain open during the first two levels of Day 2, so the exact number of entries, as well as the prize pool and payout information, won't be known until then.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be back on the tournament floor of Finix Casino when Day 1c kicks off at 5 p.m. local time on Tuesday.

Four More Hands

Ernestok • Level 10: 1,500-3,000, 3,000 ante

The eight players that are left on the field of Day 1b will play four more hands before bagging for the night. We will return with today's chipcounts.

Koromani is Another Bust for Day 1b

Ernestok • Level 10: 1,500-3,000, 3,000 ante

We are getting close to the end of Day 1b and the field is getting smaller. Dritan Koromani is the latest casualty of the second flight when he shoved his 14 big blinds from middle position after Michailidis' raise to 8,000.

The chipleader, Marcel Galustov, called from two seats over and everybody folded with Michailidis throwing his card near the dealer rather quickly.

Koromani: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Galustov: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The board came {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Koromani busted only a couple of minutes before the end of Day 1b.

Chasiotis Out and Nine Players Left

Ernestok • Level 10: 1,500-3,000, 3,000 ante

Sofoklis Chasiotis three-bet to 31,000 after an open from Leonidas Mavidis to 8,000 and two calls from Polykarpos Stryvakis and Marios Tzakos.

Stryvakis was the only player who called and the dealer opened {6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} on the flop. Chasiotis open shoved for 67,000 with a pair of queens and Stryvakis snap-called with a set of sixes.

Turn and river didn't help Chasiotis who busted in the last level of Day 1b.

The Pot of the Day for Galustov

Ernestok • Level 9: 1,000-2,000, 2,000 ante

A huge pot just took place and it will probably determine the chipleader for Day 1b!

"Cossack" opened from hijack to 4,500, Marcel Galustov called from the cut-off and Georgios Pistofidis three-bet to 17,000. Both his opponents called and we are off to the flop.

{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades} were the first three community cards and "Cossack" checked, with Galustov announcing all in for 181.500! Pistofidis thought about it for a moment and he called with a stack of 89,000. "Cossack" looked like he couldn't believe what was happening but after a couple of minutes he called too!

Cossack: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Galustov: {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Pistofidis: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The pot's worth was 500,000 and the {4-Diamonds} on the river was magical for Galustov and devastating for his opponents.

The {8-Spades} on the river completed the board and Galustov celebrated his huge win, while "Cossack" was left very short and Pistofidis busted.

Bad Beat and Elimination for Efthimiadis

Ernestok • Level 9: 1,000-2,000, 2,000 ante

Georgios Efthimiadis was left with 14 blinds and he shoved from the small with Dritan Koromani calling from the big blind.

Efthimiadis: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Koromani: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Koromani hit a straight on the river to send his opponent to the rail.
