Ensan Joins the Private Battle

zedmaster84 • Level 28: 30,000-60,000, 10,000 ante

After the previous big pot between Antonin Duda and Javier Gomez Zapatero, the two were at it again and the Spaniard three-bet an open raise of Duda from 125,000 to 275,000 out of the cutoff. Duda called but quickly check-folded the {Q-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {4-Spades} flop to a bet of 290,000 by Gomez Zapatero.

One hand later, Duda opened to 125,000 and Gomez Zapatero three-bet to 300,000 from the hijack. The action reached Hossein Ensan and he four-bet to 565,000 out of the small blind. Duda folded and the Spaniard moved all in, enforcing a fold from Ensan.

King Duda Makes Big River Call

MarcC • Level 28: 30,000-60,000, 10,000 ante

Antonin Duda tanked for a couple of minutes on the river after his opponent, Javier Gomez Zapatero, tanked for three minutes before attempting a check-raise bluff.

Duda had opened from the button and Zapatero peeled from the big blind. The board ran out {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Hearts} with Duda betting 140,000, 295,000 and 410,000 on each street. Zapatero stayed with him all the way and then raised the river bet up to 1,300,000. Duda looked confused but ultimately called with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}. Zapatero opened {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for second pair that he turned into a bluff.

Fedor Holz Eliminated in 9th Place (€60,290)

zedmaster84 • Level 28: 30,000-60,000, 10,000 ante
Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Fedor Holz opened to 125,000 and then folded to the 295,000-three-bet of Stefan Schillhabel. Exactly one hand later, the WCOOP winner did the same raise from under the gun and was called by Jean Montury in the big blind.

The dealer spread the {4-Spades} {5-Clubs} {K-Diamonds} flop and Montury check-called a bet of 150,000 to see the {3-Spades} on the turn. Again the Frenchman checked and Holz bet a second barrel worth 445,000. Montury check-raised to 1.6 million to put his opponent at risk and "CrownUpGuy" was sent into the think tank.

Within the more than three minutes of consideration, he shook his head several times, glanced over at his opponent and even suspected a set. When Holz called and was shown the {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} by Montury, he stood behind his chair in shock and then flipped over his {A-Spades} {A-Clubs}.

The German, now living in Vienna, only had six outs to stay alive and the dealer burned and turned the {10-Hearts} river to send Holz to the rail in 9th place. There will now be a short break to do the official final table picture.

He Lost Some Chips Ensan

MarcC • Level 28: 30,000-60,000, 10,000 ante

Valentin Messina is approaching the seven-million mark again after making a flush against Hossein Ensan.

The latter raised to 120,000 from under the gun and Messina called from the small blind. Ensan continued for 150,000 on a {5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop and was check-called before both players checked the {k-Hearts} turn. The board completed with the {q-Clubs} and Messina led for 355,000. Ensan called and mucked upon seeing Messina's {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.
