Marius Gierse opened to 175,000 and Jasper Meijer van Putten three-bet in the big blind for 485,000. Gierse called and the flop fell . Both players checked and the start-of-the-day chip leader then checked the turn. Gierse bet 490,000 and Meijer van Putten called.
The Dutchman checked the river and Gierse moved all in. There were 2,080,000 in the middle and Gierse had shoved for 1,930,000.
"Yep, this is going to take a little more," Meijer van Putten said and several players left the table for a quick walk. More than five minutes passed with neither player saying anything, Gierse just stared at the board. Another three minutes later, Meijer van Putten released his cards into the muck.
