At the end of the previous level, Tue Ullerup Hansen defended his big blind against a raise by William Kassouf and check-folded a jack-high flop to get shown by Kassouf.
Kassouf then started the new level in the big blind and Patrick Serda raised to 350,000 from under the gun. Kassouf called and checked the flop, Serda checked behind. On the turn, Kassouf bet 450,000 and Serda called before the appeared on the river.
Some table talk by Kassouf followed and he then bet 575,000, Serda snap-called. Kassouf showed for nines and sevens, which Serda had beat with for a straight to take over the lead.
