Germany's Philipp Gruissem was trending down in the last hour, but scored a much needed double-up-and-then-some in the last level of the day. Adem Marjanovic opened to 22,000 in early position and Rui Sousa three-bet the button to 59,000. Gruissem shoved all in for 86,000 from the big blind, Marjanovic called and Sousa put the few extra chips in.
The flop paired Gruissem, but gave Sousa some hope with a double belly-buster straight draw. The turn and river were bricks, and Gruissem raked in the pot.
