One of Australia's brightest new stars on the circuit is Michael Addamo. Addamo is fresh off a successful WSOP where he cashed seven times, including a $196,202 score in a $1,500 event. Today, he crossed the 100,000 mark in an interesting hand against Idisoro Barrena.
Addamo opened to 1,400 on the button and Barrena defended his big blind. The flop came , Barrena checked, Addamo bet 1,400, and Barrena called. Both players checked the on the turn.
On the river, Barrena quickly led with 1,700, only to be met by a raise to 12,000 from Addamo. The Spaniard considered his options, but eventually surrendered the pot to the Australian.
