Bari Vanishes

We just noticed Allen Bari was no longer in his seat next to Shaun Deeb. Thanks to Twitter, we learned some of the details of Allen's demise.

Mercier and Friends

We've just broken a table, and it's created quite a fun Table 458. Frank Kassela, Jason Mercier, Cyndy Violette, and ElkY were already at that table, and they've just been joined by Allen Bari and Shaun Deeb.

From Omaha to Stud

It's worth noting that Allen Bari, one of the newcomers at the start of Level 2, is fresh off a 15th-place finish in Event #8 $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better for $11,957.

Allen Bari Eliminated in 15th Place ($11,957)

Allen Bari came back from break with just 52,000 chips and when Herbert Tapscott raised under the gun he decided to go for it. Bari three-bet from the hijack to 45,000 with just 7,000 behind and Tapscott called.

Daniel Ratigan Eliminated in 17th Place ($9,712)

We just witnessed two hands that ended Daniel Ratigan's tournament run in 17th place. We caught the first hand on the river when the board read .

Davis and Jolly Back on the Up

Raymond Davis and Bryan Jolly both took down pots at the same time on each table. Davis was one of two callers after John Racener opened.

Allen Bari Time

Allen Bari won a nice pot off Tyler Schwecke and then gave some of it to Daniel Ratigan when he doubled him up. Schwecke opened from under the gun and then called all three streets when Bari led into him from the big blind.

Bari Hurting Bad

Allen Bari is finding the cards, hitting the boards but not holding up against his opponents so far. He just lost two big pots knocking him all the way down to 190,000 chips.

Bad Start for Bari

Allen Bari and Ashly Butler's chip stacks have almost swapped places. There must've been a bigger pot between the two that we missed but we did catch the following: Bari raised from early position and Butler called to see a flop appear.

Schwecke Leads With 20 Left, Allen Bari Close Behind in Second

The massive $1,500 Omaha Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better tournament saw 220 players return for the second day of play. The goal was to play down to a final table but there are still 20 players remaining as we head into the final day.

Bregman Gets Needled After Scooping

Gavin Griffin jokingly gave Brandon Bregman the needle after he lost a pot to him as he tried to raise too much on the flop and then bet the wrong amount on the turn. Allen Bari came to his defense and all three laughed about it.

Boyd Stays in There

Thayer Rasmussen limped under the gun and Dutch Boyd made the call for 6,000. Allen Bari was on the button and raised to 12,000 after which the big blind, Rasmussen and Boyd all called.

Big Clash Coming?

It could be, but it's a limit game and big stacks have little effect on the way hands play out. But it is good to know that two of the biggest stacks in the room are seated at the same table.

Bari Up, Boyd Down

Allen Bari and Dutch Boyd are two of the marquee names left in the field. They are sat next to each other and just clashed in a big pot. We got there on the river but Bari had bet, called a raise on the turn.

Good Start for Bakes, Nguyen Drops Some

We just missed a big hand between David "Bakes" Baker and Men Nguyen in which the young pro increased his stack significantly.

#whenwillitbegin

Without a 5 p.m. tournament to double dip in, Jason Mercier has been forced to grind Event 8 all day. He's been very quiet, and his stack is stuck at 4,000 chips, but he's persistent. There's no quit.
