Wie zu erwarten hat TonyG bei Party Poker unterschrieben. Wie er im Vorfeld immer betont hat, soll und wird es wohl keine Veränderungen bei Pokernews geben. Wow, dass sind ja mal wieder News.

He came with the name Cincinnati, a kid with no ace in the hole,
on a hot poker pot, Cincinnati, had staked his heart and soul. (Lyrics by Ray Charles)

Tony G Signs Player Representation Deal with Party Poker
January 21, 2010, Michael Friedman

There are a handful of players who have affected poker as players and as businessmen, but few have had the impact of Australian Tony G. Having amassed over $4 million in live-tournament winnings and who-knows-how-much from some of Russia's wealthier poker enthusiasts, the only thing missing from "the G's" resume was a representation deal with a major online site. This is no longer an issue, now, because the G-man has signed with PartyPoker.com to be a player representative for the site.

In addition to joining the Party team, G has sold his TonyGpoker.com assets to the top online site giving the Party machine access to the site's solid player database.

Tony G says he couldn't be happier about his new deal and that he is ready to take on all challengers. "I cannot wait to start playing for Team Party on the circuit. I've always loved Party and what better way to kick off than at the Aussie Millions. I am also really excited about the Premier League in February — it is the best event in poker in my eyes. After finishing runner-up and third in the last two years the title has to be mine! I just hope my rivals have the heart and commitment to the game to stop me!"

G's new deal incorporates live tournament buy-ins to events around the world and he will play online under the screen name "TonyG." He joins an already impressive roster of Team Party players including Mike Sexton, Kara Scott, Ian Frazer, Bodo Sbrzesny, Remy Biechel, Stewart Scott and Felipe 'Mojave' Ramos.

For players wondering what will happen to the existing Tonygpoker.com site, the acquisition of the assets of TonyGPoker.com will migrate all its players to NoblePoker.com, (a PartyGaming subsidiary). As part of G's deal, he will continue to run the Sunday Bike Ride, a popular bounty promotion on the site. According to G, this will give TonyGpoker players added value over the long run.

"It's business as usual for TonyGPoker.com. The exciting acquisition of its assets by the PartyGaming will create a larger more flexible and productive playing environment," said the G. Tony G wanted to stress to PokerNews readers that his deal with PartyPoker is a personal deal, and has nothing to do with PokerNews. PokerNews will remain an independent, unbiased media entity.
