This just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. A couple players had been eliminated from the Table of Eternal doom, so we knew that someone was in for the harsh seat draw. Well the first person to get there was Sean Getzwiller. Getzwiller came on strong at the WSOP last year, winning a $1,000 No-Limit event for $611,000, as well as final tabling the $5,000 shootout, where he finished ninth. He has taken the seat between Little and Shorr.
If that wasn't enough, there was an open seat to the left of Faraz Jaka, and that has been taken by Vitaly Lunkin. Lunkin came out of virtually nowhere to win the $40,000 40th Anniversary event in 2009, pocketing a cool $1.8 million dollars for his efforts. He also final tabled two more events that year. So yeah let's review here. Table 6 looks like this.
Seat 1: Faraz Jaka
Seat 2: Vitaly Lunkin
Seat 4: Jonathan Little
Seat 5: Sean Getzwiller
Seat 6: Shannon Shorr
Seat 7: Gavin Smith
Seat 8: Phil Ivey(still playing at the Stud 8 event at the moment)
Decent lineup there.
