GG, Galen

It's really hard to find notable action with so many familiar faces, but we see a lot of people walk past us to the exit door. The latest? PCA Champion and poker multi-millionaire Galen Hall.

More Stars

The Team PokerStars Pros are filling in (and breaking from the Amazon Room). We've spotted a few more:

Andre Akkari, Alexandre Gomes, and Maria Mayrinck (Brazil)
David Williams (USA)
Matthias de Meulder (Belgium)
Maxim Lykov (Russia)

Unfortunately, we've also lost one of the Team Pro; Germany's Jan Heitmann has been sent off.

Fire Alarm!

The tournament was just interrupted --- or actually not really interrupted at all -- by a fire alarm. It's flashing strobes and sounding the klaxon, and there's a pleasant lady's voice telling everyone something garbled. A member of staff said, "Someone pulled the alarm," as he scurried past.

The clock's runnin'.

Break

The players are now on their first 20-minute break of the day.

Patel Blocked

On the {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} board, one player bet 400 into Hiren Patel. Patel put in a raise, and a small one, to 825. His opponent thought for a minute and then made the call.

The river completed the board with the {K-Hearts} and the first player fired a small bet of 250. Patel made the call and his opponent tabled the {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Patel mucked and dropped back to 3,500 in chips.

Chick Takes On Two Guys

Kirsty Chick
Kirsty Chick

Kirsty Chick just sent two players to the rail. All of the money went in on the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop between the three players. Chick held the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a flopped full house while her opponents held the {J-Spades}{9-Spades} and the {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}. The turn was the {A-Clubs} and the river the {8-Diamonds} to give Chick the double-elimination pot. She's up to about 7,000 now.

Liu Gets Rivered

Action folded to Xuan Liu in the cutoff seat and she raised to 125. The player on the button called and everyone else folded. The dealer ran the flop and the {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades} rolled out. Liu was first and fired a continuation bet of 175. Her opponent called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Liu thought for a little bit before checking. Her opponent fired a bet of 425. Liu thought, checked her opponent's chip stack and then raised all in. The player called to put himself at risk for 2,175 total.

Liu held the {A-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush draw. He opponent held the {4-Spades}{3-Spades} for a weaker flush draw and an open-ended straight draw. Neither player held a pair yet.

The river completed the board with the {7-Clubs} and that gave Liu's opponent his straight. She sent over the chips and was left with less than a third of the starting stack.
