Landfish Cripples Brodie

On all three streets of the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board, Landfish bet and Brodie called. Landfish showed {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} at the end which was good as Brodie took a big hit.

Denotaristefani Doubles Again

Isaac Haxton raised from the cutoff only to have Domenico Denotaristefani three-bet from the small blind. Haxton made the call as Denotaristefani bet dark. Haxton called after seeing the flop come down {K-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{K-Clubs}, prompting Denotaristefani to bet in the dark again, this time for his last 16,000. After a {7-} hit the turn, Haxton made the call and the cards were turned up.

Haxton: {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Denotaristefani: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}

Denotaristefani was ahead and looking to dodge a ten and nine on the river, which is exactly what he did to double yet again.

Isaac Haxton 470,000 -90,000 neg
Domenico Denotaristefani 220,000 -175,000 neg

Brodie Saved on the River as Well

Richard Brodie raised on the button and Isaac Haxton three-bet from the small blind. Brodie made the call as Haxton led out on the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. Bordie called with the action the same on the {8-Spades} turn which put Brodie all in.

Haxton: {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Brodie: {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Haxton’s ace-high was ahead for the moment but Brodie had a wealth of outs including a royal flush draw. The river was the {10-Hearts} which paired up Brodie and gave him the double.

Chipcounts
Isaac Haxton 560,000 -90,000 neg
Richard Brodie 300,000

Demenico Saved on the River

Domenico Denotaristefani raised in the cutoff and Justin Smith re-raised from the small blind. Denotaristefani called all in and the players revealed their hands.

Smith: {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Denotaristefani: {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}

It was off to the races and the board rolled out {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The rail went wild as Denotaristefani hit a nine on the river to pair up and stay alive!

Domenico Denotaristefani 395,000 215,000 pos

Boosted J vs. Landfish

Action folded to Steve Landfish in the small blind and he put the pressure on with a raise. Justin "Boosted J" Smith pushed back with a three-bet from the big blind. Landfish made the call and then followed that up with a check-call on the {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop.

When the {J-Spades} hit the turn, Landfish checked, Smith bet, Landfish check-raised, and Smith made the call. Landfish slowed his aggression down on the {4-Hearts} river, allowing Smith to bet. Landfish gave it a moment's thought before releasing his hand.

Landfish Gets Caught

After winning the previous pot by getting Justin Smith to fold on the river, Steve Landfish was at it again and raised from middle position. Isaac Haxton called from the big blind as the two saw a {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop. Haxton check-called a Landfish bet and led out when the {9-Clubs} hit the turn turn. Landfish raised and Haxton just called as the {Q-Clubs} rolled off on the river. Haxton went back to checking while Landfish bet again. Haxton went into the tank but eventually called.. Landfish immediately mucked and Haxton showed {4-}{4-} for the big call to win the hand.

Chipcounts
Steve Landfish 1,000,000 -200,000 neg
Isaac Haxton 650,000 300,000 pos

Nick Schulman Eliminated in 9th Place ($35,519)

Nick Schulman (9th Place- $35,519)
Nick Schulman (9th Place- $35,519)

Nick Schulman raised from middle position only to have Steve Landfish three-bet from the button. Barry Greenstein made the call in the big blind and Schulman called behind. When the flop fell {7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Greenstein led out with a bet only to have Schulman raise. Landfish thought for a moment before releasing, and Greenstein reraise. Shulman, four-bet, Schulman five-bet all in, and Greenstein made the call.

Greenstein: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Schulman: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Greenstein had flopped a set and had Schulman in bad shape. The {4-Hearts} turn improved Greenstein to a full house and left Schulman looking for a nine on the river. The crowd was on its feet as the dealer burned and put out the {8-Clubs} on the river. Greenstein's supporters cheered as Shulman's simply consoled their man.

Chipcounts
Barry Greenstein 530,000 155,000 pos
Nick Schulman Ausgeschieden

Demenico Wins Small, Loses Bigger

After he received a walk and then stole the blinds, Domenico Denotaristefani was then involved in another pot. Daniel Idema raised in the cutoff and Denotaristefani three-bet on the button. Justin Smith four-bet from the big blind which got Idema out of the way but Denotaristefani made the call. On the {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, Smith led out and Denotaristefani called. On the {10-Clubs} turn, Smith led out once more which got his opponent to fold.

Denotaristefani’s rail has certainly been the loudest so far but with the way things are going so far, they might not be around for too long.
